115 to 120 Boat ran 117 with old drive with 4 to5 hundread rpm left, but ran out of river.Gt calculated it out and says it should run low 120s.Only driven the boat once in the last two years.

How much HP does the #6 take to drive? Would it make any sense to put any other motor in there?

That is a steal at those prices... Knowing the quality of your other toys, this thing must be as clean and well kept!

How would this thing run with a #6 and 800hp?

06-03-2005, 03:46 PM
Don't know, probably in 90 to 100 range. if you are serious i could change the pulleys on the motor and find out.

What is needed to do to bolt an xr drive? Is the #6 what is hurting the resale?
I wish I was 100% ready to buy, but having a wife 9 months pregnant is messin me up....I can't even go and pick my current boat out of storage.
For my sake I hope it's still available in a month or so, but good luck!

The cost to switch over would be expensive and tough. The boat runs great with the 6 and you don't have to worry about being towed home. Yes i know anything is breakable but highly unlikley. I think maybe since #6 props are not user friendly when kicked or touched.
Another reason might be its harder to get financing on a used boat. A guy was going to buy it yesterday but couldn't get the funds. Nada apraised the boat at 45k. What a joke.
