Merlin 540 motor?

I am thinking about buying a new boat with a Merlin 540 motor. I really cant find much info on this motor. Any help would be great. The boat is a Cole 28' deep "V" at approx 5300 lbs. Is this enough motor and what would my estimated speed be? :devil:

Ive got the 540 in my force offshore cat motor runs great. My boat weighs 4300lbs run 89mph with a 28 pitch prop.

540 inch or 540 horse?if its horsepower i would say around 68 to 70 mph.

Thats about right Im at 665hp
