OK guys..I am wanting to head to lake tahoe for the 4th..any ideas where I might find lodging on the water..and is there a big firewoks show We can see from the boat..?Any help would be great..

Been a long time but there used to be good fireworks @ Regan Beach South Shore :wink: Good Luck

I don't know about the boat, but I watched an awesome fireworks show on the top of Heavenly. I'm not sure if they still do that but it's worth it if they do.

Hope you make it up here for the fourth it is one of the better spots in the west for the fourth! Great Fireworks show you will have to hook up with us and I will show you the right place to be on the water to see the show. Be prepaired for some ruff water on that weekend due to the traffic. Let me if I can help out in any way!

I usually stay at Tahoe Keys. That is the only lodging that I'm aware of that is on the water. You'll have your own dock, so you wont have to wait at one of the few ramps to get your boat out at 10:00 PM. The weather can be really pleasant or really cold on the fourth so be prepared.
One hint. The keys will want a seven day minimum with a non refundable deposit for that week. You can find some private ads for houses or condos online.
There is a chance you can get a place at the last minute and they won't require a long stay. I did this on Labor day once with three days notice and there were alot of vacancies there. The fourth is a different story though.
You can boat out of the keys onto the main body of the lake and watch the fireworks from there. The casinos are a major party after the fireworks show.
