The date is June 25th at Hogan lake, in Valley Springs CA. This is a one day get together for some family fun. I am hoping to include both new and old. I am a drag boat guy at heart but also own a new Sanger V215. I am currently trying to arange some vendors and exibition for the day. Later in the evening there will be fireworks. I would recomend getting camp sites right away if you are interested in staying for the weekend at either Acorn East or West. This should be a great day of Sanger fun. more details to follow as they develope.

If I can help with anything I am available.
I am also a GGB Exhaust Technology Dealer along with HoffmanEagle Marine.
I would sugest that you change it to a BBQ instead of Ragatta per Roostwears recomondation.
Also there are alot of people that don't know where Hogan is so a map link would be helpful.
Also you may want to post on these other forums;

Squirting Thunder;
I just want to thank you for the enthusiasm to get the word out about the Sanger owners Regatta (get-together). I am looking forward to meeting all the people. It should be a good blend of yesterday to today. I am trying to get some magazine coverage from Hot Boat and some others.

This event will be new and old, Sanger has one of the longest running sucessful history's in the boating world. They have proven themselves as a leader in performance and quality. I love the drag boats and love the new generatin of Sanger. This is what I want to represent for this event. I hope that new Sanger owners will get to see the history up close and the Sanger owners of old can see where the future has taken Sanger.

Sanger Guy,
Squirtin Thunder is right, you may need to get insurance if you call it a Regatta, some weird law. Anyway, I was going to call our annual Tower Park outing a regatta in the beginning but was told insurance would be required. The insurance for a single day regatta is quite expensive!
Would be kind of cool to come out to see a bunch of Sangers but we have an outing up at Shasta that same weekend.
Since your local, check out our tentative schedule of events at http://p210.ezboard.com/bclassic***boats in "The West" forum. No need to be a member to attend.

is this sponsored by the Sanger Factory? I was reading about a different sanger reunion this year in the v-drive newsletter.

Unfortunately after speaking with Sanger (Scott P.) in great detail, they had to decline participation due to liability issues. They do express great interest and wish they could be a part of it. But yes they are throwing a reunion at lake Merced in August. I have all the information and will be attending that function. I will post that info in the next few days. The need for insurance and permits has been addressed and as of now the ruling is for it to remain a "get-together" as to not have a insurance need. I have spoken to a few insurance company's and luckily have found one who is willing to work with me if I need to go that route. This year I would like to avoid that.

Okay newest update:
I have been e-mailing Kevin(editor of Hot Boat Magazine) and without putting words into his mouth it looks like there will be some photos of the day. I am hoping to get enough of a turn out to get a good spread in the magazine. I am also trying to get some other photoagrphers out to get close-up personal shots so I can send them in for additonal footage. The rest is up to the masses. This will be good. :cool:

I'd like to be put on the list as a "very interested" Sanger owner looking to attend. Might be able to drag my cousin with his Sanger and a few other of my Sanger boating-owning friends up as well. And my bro has a new Sanger V210 on order. He might be interested in showing up too.
Can you kick me an e-mail or PM sanger215guy?
Thanks!
Alan
