got a 454 with 049 heads big valves in a 19ft challenger jet berk. pump with a a imp. just want to pump it a little more what would be a good cam without having to do a bunch of head work. thanks

Look in Gearheads...Chris from Stef's gave a complete run down on selecting a cam. You learn that, and you'll never have to ask again. :D :coffeycup

Pat, if you don't want to jump through all the hoops, I'd suggest giving Duane Oblander a call. He's a two-legged cam computer in tennis shoes!!! Especially when it comes to Chebbys. I'll bet he can tell you off the top of his head the cam # you need. Plus he's a lot of fun to talk to! lol

here are a few good Herbert Cams.... the biggest i would go on a flat tappet is part #CB4H 236 / 246 553 / 571.. 110. the biggest i would go w/ a solid roller is Herbert part #CBH7 242 / 244 642 / 663... 110. as far as a hydraulic, or hydraulic roller, unless you are to lazy to check the valves once a yr, and will never get the jet outa the water & over rev, dont wast your time w/ one.
