Me and 460 jus getn it went out today and we took on some serious water. He forgot to tighten the handhole cover :2purples: :2purples: We blew through the no wake zone at about 3500rpms. People sure were looking at us funny. Other than that the ford sounded good. We are headed back tomorrow to dial in the timming, float level and water temp. I will have pics tomorrow;)

All kidding aside, That IS a very good checklist. I've printed it and will probly laminate it and keep it in the toolbox that I keep onboard. These are all things that we get a chuckle from reading about, but it sucks when it happens. It could certainly prevent:
1) damage to parts
2) damage to wallet
3) floating around with a bilge full of water and a motor that won't start
4) sitting on the side of the road looking at your upside down boat in the ditch
5) general aggravation
6) having to listen to your buddies' bullshit after being towed to the ramp(this should be #1)

HOLY CRAP!!! by the time I get all this stuff done it will be October. Ahh hell I'm just going to sit in the driver seat in the driveway with my ice chest and have the wife spray me with the hose, then I can figure out what I'm going to do with all tha gas money I saved this year.
