Did you delete the other thread? That's funny stuff. Even funnier than some of the comments that were in it. :D :D :D
BTW, when do you start at Rex? I need to order some parts and figure you'll be a great guy to have over there manning the phones. :2purples: :hammerhea

Hey Jordy...you've had your fun, now why don't you lay off a little, huh? I'm sure you can understand that it's not easy for the rest of us to be as perfect as you.

once again, I'm sure they could just contact the SCSC directly and cut out the middleman. Furthermore, it's pretty f'n ironic that you recommend people to contact you for information on circle jets, when you've been asking everyone in town for info yourself

Maybe he just didn't want there to be a bunch of childish crap on a thread that he's at least making an effort to put something together. You might not like thwe way he's going about it, but what are you doing besides...um...NOTHING!
If this is how you guys get your kicks, you're lost.

Gee, thanks so much for your concern, however I don't see anywhere that I said I was perfect (and challenge you to find that anywhere on these or any other forums) and if ST hadn't deleted the thread, you'd see that I really wasn't involved in it. I made one observation and apparently as Flat Broke said, it must have been right on the money as ST took his ball and left that thread. :D

I don't think you have to look very far to see what myself and others do for the love of our sport/hobby/whatever the hell you want to call it. I would deffintely have to say that what my brother and I do is a hell of a lot more than NOTHING. I don't need to waste any more time defending myself on what I do for the sport, or keeping the classics going.
Now as far as getting my kicks... Actually I get my kicks off of sleeping with my wife, driving my boat, making money at work, and looking at bitchen billet hardware and slick setups. The issue isn't about me or Jordy or anyone else vs. Squirtin Thunder.
The real point is the guy has a boner for wanting to be "the man" on this deal. Fine, whatever. He's the man, hoorah for him. I hope the SCSC DOES get enough interest to run an exhibition race. Crap, with only an 80.9mph limit, and average winning speeds even lower than that, my cruiser could be a contender and maybe I should be looking to buy a lifeline. The question isn't who to email to get the information. The question is who would really commit the $$ and actually show up to race in April?
BTW, IMHO most guys couldn't make the changes/purchases needed to be APBA legal by the April date. If someone really wants to make this happen, see if you could get the SCSC to have the exhibition race at the October event at Ming. Plenty of time to hype it, everyone has their stuff together by then, and if it goes well, you would be in a prime position to seek something more permanent for the next season.
I for one would love to see Mike F bring the Capital Punishment boat back out for a race or two, get all these old Rogers freaks racing their rides, and if people didn't bitch about the size see some Spectra/Howard/Hallet/Schiada jet 21's out there mixing it up. It's a great idea, its probably the most entertaining/accessible mix of competition open to a guy with a slower boat, and I'm all for it. I just have a problem with the appearance of a desire for control by one person.

FB, I read your post last night and just wondered why? The public degradation was brutal. That was very noble to edit that post, I'm sure ST appreciated it!
If I were ST, I believe I would of taken my ball/bat and hit the road too. To get just beat up over something so simple is ridiculous. I really think ST was just trying to gather info, inform and find a committed number of participants that might want to race in this class. I don't believe he was trying to re-invent the wheel or take credit for finding this information. It sure sounded like a 5 boat commitment would get things rolling....
ST, I might be interested in competing and will let you know.......I've got a old Maverick that might work for that environment. I think it's a great idea and would be fun for many!

Chris...Why didn't you just post this in the first place? I can totally and completely respect what you just wrote.
The issue isn't about me or Jordy or anyone else vs. Squirtin Thunder.
When you're just taking chip shots at the guy with no explaination, it sounds likr that's exactly what it is. That's all I was addressing.
Do you really think that they would want ST as a point man considering some of the bullshit that he has pulled on the forums, mainly directed at someone's main source of income?
No doubt you have a good point, but when you're just reamin' the guy, you're not sounding any better than him. That's all I was saying. I don't get the part where he's trying to be the "one and only" here, either, but I don't mind giving him credit for trying.
Maybe you could offer him some useful suggestions, (not like telling him to f**k off) instead of picking him apart.

Sounds like in one sentence you bash the 80mph, and in the other you like it.

actually, I think the 80mph thing is GOOD! it makes it affordable for more people to be competitive, is generally safer, and considering the age of some of these boats, just makes sense.

Jordy...SuperDave jumped in the thread in the beginning and started right off by making sarcastic comments. Rather than jumping back in the open thread, ST PM'd him. Now I don't know if SD showed you the PM's, but I'd bet you're just being a gossip here, saying ST sent him "a LOT of NASTY whining PM's."
This sort of is his deal, and something like this really dosen't work unless one person is willing to funnel all the info to where it belongs. What's wrong with that?? It's not like he's getting paid. Just trying to be the organizer. I'd say Jim Best and Ross Wallach are happy to have the help, if that's what it is. If ST's out of line, I'd be willing to bet that they'll straighten him out, and don't need any help from the peanut gallery. LIke I said, make some suggestions that might help. Not just trouble.

Jordy, He only sent me one PM and one nice voice mail on the phone.
Hey, maybe I was to quick to react.
When ever I needed info on an SCSC event I always asked Ross. He's been the go to guy for a long time. So I gave out his info with no backhand intended.
Also I have not raced with APBA scince I was 17 years old (C mod hydro's with the Mark25's). I missed the memo that Jim was now an APBA member and spokes person for the SCSC. So I guess I'm out of the loop on what the deal is today.
I'm sure the GN guys would love to see the jetters with their own class as well. I was talking to the guy who owns the GN that had the jet go across the deck of his boat last year. He's ready to go and all fired up it seemed to me. So if you don't get your own class it sounds like some prop guys are ready to race.
Steelcomp, I know this guy is your friend and all. But no matter what some of us will always be skeptical because of what he did to Rexone. I know he said he was sorry and I know that Rexone accepted it. But we know he did it and that is something that will always be in the back of our minds. Who would what to deal with a guy that's capable of doing something like that?

Hey SD,
let's not forget it was a prop guy that made the error by turning in front of the jet before he reached the turning buoy!
I bet he thanks his lucky stars that it WAS a jet that ran up his ass and not a GN. As close as the bottom of the boat came to his head, a prop might have taken it off. If it was me, they'd still be trying to seperate me from my seat cushion.

Sounds like fun. I just remember Jack Mcclure saying there's at least 20 hours of prep time between each race weekend. Too much time for me to spend on a hobby.
If this takes off, there will be a run on Rogers Bonneville's and Liberty hulls, they ran great in NJBA circle races.
I say HBjet is ready to go!/ LOL
Come on Randy, take the seats out and go win some races!

He could put a motor in that Spectra 18 in front of his shop and put it up against some of the newer hardware out there.
Like I said, I'm all for it. All the other BS asside, I just think it would be tough to round up enough people by the end of April. Set this up for October at Ming and I think you'd have better luck. Then push for more dates in the 06 Season... Starting with Parker.
