Simple green and a pressure washer. I had an oil slick in my driveway when I bought my house from the previous owner's car. Repeated dousing with simple green got rid of it. Spray it on, let it soak, repeat a few times and then hose it off. Pressure washers get the job done even faster. ;)

squirt a lil gunk on it. Let it sit for a few and hose it off. Yeah, it's not real enviro friendly but your driveway will be clean.

Caustic powder or Purple Power ,a pressure washer would help on concrete but not so good for asphalt.

If you have to resort to using a solvent, use NMP. NMP is "green" and legal to wash down the drain, and works real well. I did the Simple Green deal, and that worked too, but one application of NMP was equal to about 10 applications of Simple Green. You can get NMP at most hardware stores. Carefull with NMP...it is also a paint stripper. Also called NM2P and NM 2 Pyrrolidone and N-Methyl 2 Pyrrolidone.

Unless it is what I call the "Valdeze" which comes from an ill fated trany pull or something I suggest a few new seals on the offending vessel/vehicle. if all else fails a diluted mix of pool acid might help and it can be neutralized with baking soda. This is of course after all detergent and power washing has been done. R.B.
