It was extremely maddening to me to be reading in the same page that some left wing jack*ss Cali judge is allowing queens to marry, but not that far away they are going to close libraries for lack of money. Suggest: Take the money being wasted on that idiot judge and give it to the libraries. I propose a 90% tax on attorney fees to pay for schools and libraries. Maybe if we educate children better, they will realize what a piece of junk our judiciall system is. :burningm: :mad: :mad: :burningm:

what gives the judge the right to do that.. is he gay? I thought we voted no on those marriages.. :notam:

Judicial review gives the court the right to declare that law (that passed in 2000 with 61% of voters approval) and an earlier law unconstitutional. Whether it is overturned is still to be seen.
Oh, and that law that we passed (a voter inititive, if I remember correctly) in 2000 was not banning gay marriage, it was simply offically defining marriage strictly between a man and a woman.
