Im looking for a check valve that operates on the same principal as a Bassett t valve but is straight instead of a t. Anyone know of something like this?

You might try looking for a bypass regulator. You would set the through side out to a dump, and have the bypass side go to the headers. So when pressure came up, the bypass would open and give water to the headers. Different principle of operation than the basset valve, but might accomodate what you're looking for.
I believe Rex Marine and HTP both sell something that could be made to work in this scenario. If you don't mind me asking, what are you trying to acomplish? You might want to look at the Banderlog valve as an alternative, since it was designed to do what it sounds like you are aiming for.

I have a old Bassett valve that is straight. Looks like a fuel filter. SS with 8AN fittings on both side. Would that work for you?

That would be awesome. You wouldn't have 2? Possible picture. What do you need for it or want to trade for it?

Does it use the same internal spring and ball as the t valve?

Does anyone else have one of these straight Bassett valves they would care to sell? I need 2.

check Kepner Valves. They have a bunch of check valves like that. Not sure of your application, but I've always thought their flow rate was limited. http://www.kepner.com/inline_check_relief_valve.htm

Just talked to Bassett. I also am looking for 2 of the inline valves. The guy at Bassett was pretty cool. He said tee valve is just an inline fuel check valve set to open at 10psi. That is what I am going to look for. Anyone have any ideas? Need it to have a female -8 to male -8 if possible.

Did Bassett have any of the inline valves? I have a friend, he goes by Matt1 on this forum, that has access to some stainless check valves that have compression fittings. Im not sure of what kind of pressure it takes to open them. He is going to bring me one to look at. I'll let you know when i see it. I may be able to score two extra ones.

Enderle Fuel Injection
Business Information:
Company: Enderle Fuel Injection
Phone: (805) 526-3838
Give um a call and they will set you up with the proper valves and set them to whatever pressure you want.

Right there is your answer guys. Also you could go to Kinsler or Hilborn. They are called idle check valves. They will most likely be brass. What's nice about them is you change a shim stack to tune when you want then to open.

Just talked with Hilborn after looking at their website. What we are looking for is a poppet valve that you can change the spring in. Take a look at this: http://www.hilborninjection.com/product.asp?Id=101&CatId=47
I am looking for something with -8AN fittings. The Hillborn one only has -6AN fittings. They also said that Enderle should have what we are looking for. Phone has been busy there everytime I call today. Can't find a website either.

Don't know what number you were calling for Enderle, but you can call Good Vibrations to get their stuff. http://www.goodvibesracing.com/Enderle%20Products.htm Pretty helpful folks and they're just down the street from Enderle.

Just put in my order for two of them from Enderle (-8AN). They said it comes with a spring for 10 and they are going to send some shims so I can adjust it from 10-20psi. Sounds good.

I am using hard lines that were built by the previous owner of the boat. If I try to use a regular Bassett Tee coming out of the intake manifold, it will push the hard lines out and they won't be straight. So I am going to use two of the straight poppet valves that I can adjust the pressure opening point down near the water injection lines connection. This will also give me a little more adjustment on each header. Once I get the parts and everything setup, I will post some pictures. Next....

Got mine from Enderle. Wish I would have known they were bronze. Oh well, they will be fairly hidden by my motor plates. I would post a pic, but I am still getting an error when I try to upload pictures.

Thats why im looking for a Bassett one. I got one in today and its polished stainless. Pretty nice. They have not made them in a while. Paul at Bassett said he had never seen one. The date on it is 78. Paul said he joined the business in the 80's.
