A friend of a friend was involved in the Bus vs. Fire engine wreck on I-10 yesterday. We need your prayers for the Fireman who was airlifted. He is losing his fight. If we lose him he will leave behind two beautiful daughters and a loving wife. Please take a minute and give some thoughts and prayers for him and his family. We have seen this work before, I know it can work again.

I read about that yesterday, very sad! Rest asured he is recieving many prayers from the board members and firefighters across the country.

I worked Upland PD for 10 yrs and knew Tom from responding on numerous calls together and hanging out at the station on holidays. He's a great guy. Trying to get some updated 411 on his condition, but it's pretty tight lipped right know.

He will definately be in my prayers,I will try to find out more through my union tomorrow.I saw it on the news,I hate working on the freeway,we had an engine hit on the 215 a few months back.

The family has barred the hospital from releasing information to the press. The girls are not aware of the seriousness of his condition. When you guys find out please keep this in mind.

With two sons (twins) in law enforcement I always worry about this type of thing so an extra prayer for the guy is easy to give. NSF

Watched this on the hospital tv while I was waiting for John yesterday. So sorry to hear of this tragic accident. Prayers for him and his family.

Doctors say firefighter injured in tour bus crash is improving!
Doctors at the hospital say 40-year-old Upland firefighter Tom Barilla is doing much better today, but he still has a long way to go. He's been upgraded from extremely critical condition, to critical but stable.

He was the Engineer, he was airlifted by medic-4 to arrowhead medical, the lawyer from the bus company is blaming the engineer for the TC, saying the engineer cut him off..... Lawyers

So glad to hear he is doing better! Hadn't heard anything on the news since yesterday morning! The power of prayer at work again! :smile:
