I bought it from a guy that had it re-built to Mercruiser 496 Mag Ho spec...it was rebuilt because it
I'll consider trading it for the following wish list includes...Imco steering full hydraulic, Bravo XR, pimped out golf cart, or let me know what you have...

Gen VII, 496CI It was professionally rebuilt with Comp Cams High Energy Camshaft (Hydraulic Roller) for improved performance. Motor is dimensionally standard with a new sleeve in #1 cylinder.This engine is completely overhauled with NEW components using only GENUINE GM PARTS. The only exception to this is the new Competition Cams High Energy Camshaft. All new cam, main and rod bearings, rings, oil pump, gaskets are installed. Heads are re-worked and given a 3-angle valve job. This engine features a crank-sensor (no distributor), multi-port fuel injection intake, hydraulic roller camshaft, high flow heads and individual ignition coils.
I'm not sure why it was rebuilt...as I recall it dropped something???

sounds like a patchup job and now is trying to wash his hands of it rather than sell it.

If some one is interested I have all the injectors throttle body and all the other stuff for the top end that I pulled off mine when I did the whipple install! Between the two of us it could almost be a complete engine! :D Fuel lines too!
