Anyone seen Hank Hogan's blowover video from last weekend? Amazingly he walked away with only a few bruises.

Better off letting the safety crew handle it. They are the ones that know what they heck they are doing.

Hank was only wearing a standard lifeline racing jacket with leg straps. I have seen the still photos of this blowover and the photographs are awesome. During the series of photos you see his fire extinguisher, and hand held GPS come out of the boat. As he hits the water and flips you see the water rip off his faceshield, his shoe and then his sock. One of his leg straps does come undone. I am no expert by no means but from what I see in this case a chute jacket may have held him back and boat would have come down on him. It appears that he out ran the boat once ejected.

It looks like in the "another angle" vid...that it almost happened earlier as well. You can see the bow come up just a little too much..

Thats crazy his sock!! and he walked away huh. As for the chute thing i agree w/ you I just thought it was interesting that it didnt open. Not only could the boat have hit him but he wouldnt have skipped across the and could have come to a real hard jerk and been more seriously hurt.
