My dad (shadetree) is going to pick it up tommorrow. This boat is clean! I am in love with it.
1979 Eliminator 21' V-Drive
(500-550hp) 460 Ford mated to a C6 Trans (4 hours on new motor)
Electronic Cav Plate
Brand New Interior
New 1,000+ cca dual batteries
Pioneer CD Player with 6 speaker system.
It even has a cigarette lighter
It was a great deal by some great people we met. They even threw in the anchor, life vests, ski rope, tube and other goodies, prop puller, etc...
I cant wait for this summer, he is going to be my fuel bitch. :D I know he will read that.
For those that might not know, he just lost his father not too long ago and we know that this is his fathers doing, he always wanted him to have a boat he and my mom can both enjoy (she has a bad back). I am very happy for him, just had to share it with everyone.
Congrats Pops!

Your friend knows you well...actually if that boat would be perfect for you, you could make it fast and it is still a "family boat", stop jacking around and settle with ONE. :D
If not, I know a few people that might be interested, any pics?

That is awesome! Is the other one
completely yours now?
Isn't it great that a V-drive can have such
a great stereo? Our friends put a box in their
flat, cracks me up, but it works great.

Congrats, I've got almost the same boat. Love the interior. It actually matches my exterior colors. Those front seats look way more comfortable than the originals. Look forward to hearing how it runs and what speeds you are seeing.

:D yes, we can finally put to rest the battle that has been going on for years. I want to do something one way, he wants to do it another, then it never gets done...I buy something for it and he disagrees, vice versa, two owners wont doesnt last long. :D Atleast it is family.

I will definately report back, we are going to take it out this weekend. The front seats were actually modified and made wider, they are soo comfortable. The guy also has a new bimini top that he modified, he made it so it sits lower.

Sucker has new gauges too, nice ones.
Really the only thing I dont like is the gel, I told him to do it all red, but the gel is in good shape so he is going to leave it...

Dont know yet, trying to get a AQ22 shaft, but Rex is out. I do need to borrow the prop to see how it works. Going to try the 11.5x15 2 blade also, thank god for a prop puller.

Cool ride for your Dad.
I once looked at a Taylor Miniday and the guy selling it said it was his dads and that he had passed away then told me all the fond memories he had of his dad driving the boat well buy the end of the talk I had convenced him to keep the boat because it had to many great memories of his dad to let go of for some cash.
Sounds like it will be a great summer in you family.

The flat needs a new v-drive, I am looking for a used split case 12 degree if you know of one. :D I told my dad he gets to carry gas cans for me, so we can travel the distance on the river.

yeah, I am happier than he is, I think he prefers chevy. I will be even more happier when I stop spending on everything else but the "429". Thanks again for that, I will never forget it!

Cool i do want to hear what that motor does when you are finished I an glad i gave it to someone who is interested in it and putting it to good use.otherwise it would just be a block sitting in the corner of my garage or probably thrown out by now.My last two trips to the junkyard i havent seen a good block (early model bbf)or any bbfs for that matter.I use to see then evry time there
