How many miles?
Hell, I get 16 out of mine on 285's with an Attitude I've never taken out of 5 and drive like a racecar, and that's even with the speedo being off, so I'm actually going further than it thinks, so my mileage is better. :D
I get 15.9 out of my bone stock company truck that spends most of it's life driving from emergency to emergency and pulling big generators around. :D

You're doing something wrong. I get 36 mpg with my Duramax in the city.
I've had it for two weeks now. ... best truck I've ever owned.

I'm getting between 14 to 15 around town. But I do only have 1500 miles on mine. Drove it to the river with only 500 miles and got 16.5 going there and 18 coming home.

I am nearly doubling that... but mine is lowered with street tires and the Edge juice.

Try 2 bottles instead, much better results, and you wont freeze when it's 60 below :D

If you are going by the read out on the dash, you need to reset it when you fill up or before the trip you want to check mileage for.

My crew cab also runs 1/4 miles in the 14 second range at 92 mph. I think my mileage might drop a little bit on those passes, like to 12. :D :D :D

Don't feel bad on your fuel economy. We have an 1985 F350 Dually Ford with 6.9, with a Banks Turbo Kit and it gets 13-14 MPG.. We have 2002 F350, Ford Dually, 7.3 with a chip and a gear vendor and surprisingly it gets 13-14 MPG...Go figure! Also our 2004 F350 Ford (fleetside), 6.0, with 37's, a "juice attitude"...guess how many MPG we're getting...13-14!!!!
Oh, yeah, some guys tell you that after they break-in they get better. We're still waiting on the 1985, it has 175,000 miles on it. :-)
You're doing just fine... We've heard alot of higher numbers also, but this is all I know. But they do run good!

I think mileage is the #1 thing people BS about. I know when I bought my truck, Lifted F-250 CC LB 4X4 with a V-10, people told me "oh you'll get 11-13 mpg" try 9-11. Then when my dad bought his powerstroke people were telling him anything from 14-25mpg and I can tell you he ain't seeing that. My friend with a two wheel drive d-max sees a best of 16mpg and he is easy on the peddle and it is well broken in.

There are three types of fuel milage:
What you really get,
What you tell everbody you get,
What you wish the truck would get. :p

That's what I was trying to say earlier. :D
Asking people about their fuel economy is like asking them the top speed of their boat.
... by the way, my boat can do 120mph all day on 5 gallons of gas.

You should have gotten a Dodge. I have a 4X4 dually that gets 17-18 highway. My other one with an automatic got 20+ b/c of a taller OD. I am thinking of dropping the gear one size.

I knew this thread would fun. Ive only got 2700 miles on it and yes I like to see to exhaust clean out from time to time. 285's w/ no lift , so maybe when it breaks in (yeah right) it'll get better.
FYI-towing the 30 ft Hallett to LHC this weekend saw 7.5 and I dont rely on computer- I used the odo after filling up.
PS- definetly glad I didnt get a FORD Bre :yuk:

NR.....changing the tire size on the Dmax KILLS the mileage.
Changes the fuel curve. There was a TSB when the DMAX was in its 2nd year of production stating not to even attempt to diagnose a MPG, cruise control, driveability or erratic shift condition with other than stock size tires...
You might get some MPG back w/the "juice"

oh yeah, and this past weekend there was a HUGE headwind....
I went from Simi to LV getting 16.5 at 75 mph (4x4 dually)
Picked the boat up in Vegas, got 8-9 all the way to Kingman in the wind, then 12 from Kingman to Havasu.
In the wind all the way home NOT towing I got 12 :hammerhea :220v:

Your MPG should start getting better anytime now, just don't hold your breath. :)
2004 Powerstroke 4X2 Crewcab Shortbed, Edge Juice set on 3/5 and a 4" turboback exhaust.
17 around town, 20 on the Interstate, and 14-15 pulling a load.

70 gallon tank?
I get 16 around town, 13.5 towing a 7000 lb boat and 19 on the highway. Kicks the crap out of the gas guzzeling f350 v10 that I used to have. 10 mpg if I was lucky. Towing the boat 7 mpg.

Gas mileage? Are you guys crazy.
when I bought mine the last thing I was worried about was gas mileage.
Might I suggest the following for you guys that are so concerned about gas mileage: ;)

I hear you get a complimentary "save mother earth" bumper sticker and a pair of birkenstocks with every Prius purchase.
