Okay, I have decided to buy a droop. Which should I go with? Place, Berkeley, or American turbine? I have a 18 ft. Hardin Marine hull, same as a Caribian hull, with a slightly built 454, My pump is a Berkeley jg Stage 2 with an AB cut impellor.

If your boat is not a tunnel you would probely not benafit as much from a short droop.I have had both kinds of Aggressors droops short and long they have been sold and now I have a Berk droop. But I think Aggressor has redesigned theirs a few times.
Amerian Turbine is cheaper than a Berk but the spliter fin is turned vertical in stead of horizontal.
BUY THE WAY THEY ALL SAY THEIRS ARE THE BEST.

I think I am going to go with the Berkeley droop, I figure Berkeley would make the best droop for there own jet. Thanx for the input.

Jack at MPD told me that when applied on an 18' v-bottom the short droop tends to work better than the long, maybe not, I don't know. It seems to work great on my boat.

Mudpumper have you tried both?Because the info I gave was from trying both on my hull (a heavy 77 Tahiti bubble deck with a stock comprestin motor with a flat shoe and ride plate)the regular droop was better.
Jack is the man so I would listen to him befor me also.I have never heard Jack pimp Aggressor parts but hey its a new day.

Since when is price a factor with you guys?? I thought i was the only one?? Picking on berkeley for being overpriced is just a shame! :D I didnt think i'd ever read a problem with a berkeley droop.
What kind of steering extension does that $225.00 aggressor droop come with steel or aluminum??

I ordered the aggressor droop through Duane @ Hi tech performance. I got the droop and all parts needed to install it for around the same price as the Berkeley droop by its self.
Thanks Duane.

I would think you would want as much lift as you can get on a V bottom.
