Could you post some more pics of your interior? I've always been curious to see how deep the floor was in those boats with the tunnels. Also, do you have any shots of the back out of the water to see the tunnel depth?
Do the stringers run on top of the tunnels and then the floor on top of that? Any shots of your bilge? If you don't want to post em up here, you could email em to me at admin@liquidaddiction.net. Did Al ever do any of the 22's with a jet? Obviously you wouldn't see the same speeds you would with your I/O setup, but I was curious to see if there is room for an intake in the center pod. For insurance purposes is your boat considered a tunnel or a mod vp?

as far as the floor.. the stringers are under the flat floor on my 224.. I'll take some better pictures of the engine compartment for you over the weekend..

LiberatorTJ1984 fabricated the scoop, and I gave him $40 for it over on gear heads. I wasn't able to find a dominator flanged stainless scoop, only aluminum. I will have to adapt my filter to fit properly though.
I'm not much on the air scoops with butterflies, Tahiti350 has one for sale on gear heads i think.....

Thanks HP, it has XP200's and Al "racer" has had it 87 but I don't have the seat time he has "Duh" I was talking with him yesterday and I will have him start on some Big HP "300 or so" powerheads when time permits and it should be a high 90MPH boat I'm hoping anyway. Oh I had it out in the ocean and it was perfect.

mike,thanks for posting pics,I am very pleased to reprt that AL water tested it yesterday at Elsinore for the first time and was very pleased with the acceleration and top speed :mix: Considering this is bone stock direct injection (green motor)225hp 3.0 liter (5900 rpm rev limit) that has some slight "crab walk"issues and the prop was not ideal it ran 77 on GPS.AL said 80 is definatly attainable with good prop and some wedge added to skeg to counter crabbing.Stacie and i will pick it up from Als shop on 4-11 and couldnt be more excited :supp: :D

I don't think I have met Dean Tog, was he at last years Delta run or Shasta?
I would have remebered 1000+in a 21 Daytona! Should be quite a show this year at Shasta with Jackpunx, Hulshot, Robbie racer, Rock-it Man and washed ashore. 5-way drag race for top dog.
I was going to run a 200 shot nitrous this year, but can't afford to get better internals in motor just yet. They do have J&E pistons in the hp500, but they aren't the best quality they offer. 9 lbs.+ nitrous=$$$$$ breakage.
I do think the nitrous makes more sense in a small boat like mine as far as cost/performance increase. How often (if ever) would you want to maintain 120+ in a 22' boat anyway? :idea:

Stoker 2001, you mean to tell me that Dean cam eout to run me. I feel privelaged. I talked to him at the Sugar Bardge and he did not mention anything to me. he told me he ran 129 with nos. that is a good number.
He was by himslf with no gas either. I just ran those numbers loaded. Should be a good run I wont take a chance on breaking my drive to out accellerate someone though. I dont have that kind of money and dont have sponsership from imco. If I did I would go to ihba and run it. We will meet up in Shasta probably or the delta. I will try to post a pic or two of my boat.

Ended up having to replace the msd box, distributor cap and all new spark plugs. then it ran fabulous! We hit 105 mph on monday morning, then we busted the blower pully/belt(?). No biggie though. He thinks the msd box has been the problem the whole time. :)

Wow, there are alot of awsome looking stokers ot there. It is a rarity you ever see one on the same lake you are on. It looks like there is many of them with big power. I am with Jp, I would rather cruise than roll at 75+, you miss so much at higher speeds. I like to look at the scenery and the other boats and be able to tell what they are rather than seeing blurs and streaks at high speeds. I would like to be able to post some pics of my junk but I got this 1970 texas instruments computer like thing here that I have to keep cranking on the side to keep it running. Everything I have is in the wrong format and I cant down load my digital via the USB port. oh well. I aint got nothing to look at anyways. I would sure like to hook up with some of these rockets and test the waters in some of them and compare boat charateristics. I am still a virgin with mine. I got to get used to it first before I break 75+, then I crank her up to 80 ish or so, you know depending on fuel load and people on board. you know how it is striving for that last MPH to claim yours does this or that. Lets get together at Naciamento or some ocal lake besides Havasu. Let plan a weekend in Sept.???? I can get some driving tips. Maybe HP or JP will give me a ride???? :rollside: :rolleyes: :p

Very nice. I would love to take a ride in your boat. Al almost had me convinced to go with the same setup. but mine finally came up for sale and couldnt beat the price. I would be interested to see ow different the 224 is versus the older 22.

Thanks. It took me while to find the "right" boat. and the price could not be beat. Eventually you will find the right boat. I have never been in a 20.4 but I hear they are a blast.

Wow, there are alot of awsome looking stokers ot there. It is a rarity you ever see one on the same lake you are on. It looks like there is many of them with big power. I am with Jp, I would rather cruise than roll at 75+, you miss so much at higher speeds. I like to look at the scenery and the other boats and be able to tell what they are rather than seeing blurs and streaks at high speeds. I would like to be able to post some pics of my junk but I got this 1970 texas instruments computer like thing here that I have to keep cranking on the side to keep it running. Everything I have is in the wrong format and I cant down load my digital via the USB port. oh well. I aint got nothing to look at anyways. I would sure like to hook up with some of these rockets and test the waters in some of them and compare boat charateristics. I am still a virgin with mine. I got to get used to it first before I break 75+, then I crank her up to 80 ish or so, you know depending on fuel load and people on board. you know how it is striving for that last MPH to claim yours does this or that. It ran very well. No problems whatsoever. It is propped wrong. It has a ski prop on it right now so it gets out of the whole very well but is losing quite a bit it the top.
My uncle was working with Al on a different prop, Im going to try and get down there and get it all figured out before the next trip

I dont know the 300 all that well.. but .. how much compression you running?.. if you have the big compression heads.. you NEED to be running 100+ oct fuel..
and that thing should go over 100 no problem.. well.. depending on prop and where your Rev limiter is set

I'm out in upland. definatly going to parker 300 as a spectator. wasnt planning on taking the boat. figured that would be a busy enough weekend out there. as far as a regatta im down to see as many of these boats in one place as possible. maybe set up a slolam course for sst? what about speed ally for regatta? october is my favorite month at the river. weeds out the jackasses of summer. but whatever you guys want is cool with me.

I'm out in upland. definatly going to parker 300 as a spectator. wasnt planning on taking the boat. figured that would be a busy enough weekend out there. as far as a regatta im down to see as many of these boats in one place as possible. maybe set up a slolam course for sst? what about speed ally for regatta? october is my favorite month at the river. weeds out the jackasses of summer. but whatever you guys want is cool with me.

when the date gets closer.. we'll get you sorted out.. dont worry about launch or anthing.. Its all free.. the most convinient place to stay is the bluwater.. but because of the race.. you may not be able to get out of there most of sat morning..
JT's in the keys is probably where I would stay if I you want to get a room..
Im not sure about the damm your talking about.. but if its the lower river from parker.. you can stay there and launch at the public ramp NP..
I did take the exaust off this weekend.. I dont know to many people that have got hassled.. so I took them off..

I would Like to go but to drive 10 hours for a weekend and then not be able to get in the water for most of Saturday and turn around and drive back on Sunday morning, I dont think I am in. :( I thought somthing in the middle. I could drive 4-5 hours for a weekend, there could be possibly 3-4 stokers more if we could compromise slightly on the travel times. :idea: I am not gripping I want to go but not quite that far :rolleyes:

Only about 2.5 miles of the river will be blocked off. You can spend ALL day on the water.

I know I will beat you, all I need is a big Ford desil 4x4 to pull me out when I drive mine in forwards and let the boat float. I have pics of mine being towed out by a dozer at CFW once, I just backer her on down and let her sink. We ran the boat for 2 hours befor worring about how to get the truck out. :D :jawdrop:
