looks like it....just thought it was a cool pic because they usually don't park in front of the hangar, usually on one of the outter aprons or in the hangar, finally got one right in front...wish it could have been another blimp, but will take what i can get...

it's where they bring them when they need repairs. there are 3 being built in the other hangar though, not sure which company yet (no logos). they brought in the sanyo blimp last year and it had a bird strike (bird hit the fan and got shot back into the canopy and almost hit the camera man and went through the other side).

I grew up near those hangers. First Tustin, then Irvine 1971 to 1994. Last time I was down, I heard they were keeping one and destroying the other. Then I heard they are keeping both. Also, I saw some signs that a community (like Woodbridge) is going in there?

here's the 411 on it. one hangar will stay up (they want to either turn it into a military museum or an indoor sports area-basketball, tennis courts, skating park and so on, with indoor food vendors. the other hangar will be brought down (lotta problems with that and it would take me to long to explain) and they will keep the end pillars. then the plan is to put a park from pillar to pillar...we were offered to drop it, but like i said, lotta problems with that....

I just found to many problems with downing one of the hangars, it would take an act of God to do it (the government has made it way to difficult to abide by all the laws to actually drop it)
