How did you mount your alternator with your rail kit. post pics. please. I have a Hi-Tech Rail Kit and need help. thanks Bryce

Bryce, If you use a Delcotron one wire alternator, put a mounting bolt right through the front plate, and the alternator will match right up with pulley on the harmonic balancer.

This is where mine is. The tensioner bolt to tighten the belt is through the left stringer. I have to keep an eye on it.....but I don't mind. :D
Sorry about the large pic, everytime I try to make one smaller.....I can't seem to do it. :hammer2:

HJ 85, Here is one of Duane's BBC motor kits. We just finished it for Fleetimus. I just cut an ear for the alt. and cut a .250" spacer between the alt. and the motor plate. The belt alignment is right on.......Doug

My engine mount plate, does not allow me to get the alternator very close to the engine, so this is what I came up with. The belt stays on at 5800 RPMs.
I used a cheapo chrome alternator bracket, with a spacer behind it, and some aluminum scraps.
