Anyone know the best place to have a fifth wheel hitch installed in or around Lake Forest? Corona? Santa Ana?

I used Mike Thompson RV Center in Santa Fe Springs. Have you considered a brake controller yet?
I have a Tekonsha Prodigy combined with a 5th Wheel Reese 15K slider. Mine is at the bottom of my dashboard with 2/3 concealed.

PRODIGY® is the most advanced and intelligent approach to trailer brake controls. PRODIGY®, requiring no manual leveling, is a technological breakthrough among inertia-activated brake controls. Equipped with a self-adjusting sensing device similar to the one used in guided-missile technology to allow for easy, flexible installation — from nearly horizontal to nearly vertical — PRODIGY® constantly adjusts itself to the position of the tow vehicle.

Cheaper than a room addition at the Havasu house at least! And it sleeps more too!

I'm running a Hi Jacker 16K double pivot with slide adjustment. It pivots front to back and side to side. I haven't used the slide adjustment (other than taking the hitch out) because I have a long bed.
I love the double pivot.

Double pivot is great for uneven terrain or hooking up. Go bigger than you need, not much extra money and if you ever go bigger in the 5er you'll already have your hitch. It is easy to install yourself if you have a ford (existing bed bolt holes). If you have a GM or Dodge gotta do a little drilling and/or welding.
Sliders are kind of a waste. Husky(Valley) makes a stout unit. Good Luck!
