So you are the other one with dollar bills in the bilge? Does everyone ask why you didn't use hundreds? Looks very nice, I hope I can make my newest project look that good.

I am thinking of just using 4 L brackets cut from billet. Repo Man has a huge piece of billet that is already L shaped. I am going to use 2 Ls on each side, very similar to Art's set up. I am thinking of powdercoating the case dark blue and polishing the fins and bolts.

Sounds good Don, remember, the point where the v-drive mounts to the hull is the place the propeller energy pushes the boat from. Dont skimp on hardware.

My response is, " I spent $400 on the paint and clear in the floor and all I had left was ones."

hey guys new to v drives here. have a 77 barron sprint and the v drive shifter ( or whatever it is tech called) on my v drive is a large pin that pulls out and slides down to engage the prop, not a handle like arts daytona or some other shown on here. is there a kit or something i can get for the handle? seems the pin like mine is hard to get enough pressure to engage prop every time. let me know please. thanks ....... olbiezer (should i change the old screen name? lol)
