I got a bunch of pics. At 120mph from the backseat.
The boat has a widened tunnel (not sure what the beam is now, but they added a few or 4 inches to the width at the tunnel) and an extended tail (extends the tunnel but not the sponsons). Was propped for 135 ish, so it accelerated HARD from 60 to 110. Supposedly will run 155 ish with bigger props and enough room. Owner said 170, but driver said 155 to 160 was more realistic.

So they put the tachs on the left side of the boat because its made for a throttle man or because its intended use was left side driving?

I think it was set-up for a person running throttles on the port side. I think those pics were from the boat show and they were giving rides, hence the wheel on the left side in the pics.
550k does not seem to bad considering you could probably get it for less.
Charley, what did the 29 with 900's and 6's cost? Probably at least in the 400k range with the older 900 SC's compared to the new SCI motors. Scott is asking I think about 750k for the 40 with the 1050's, so about 500k for a 32 sounds right to me.

Chris, I honestly dont know... but I know what my 32 is costing me and what it will cost me with TCM900efi's and 6's if i decide to go down that path ... :jawdrop: .... and it's quite a bit less..but then again the skater is 10' wide and that would definitely be worth some more money to me... not to mention in fairness i would need to add $25k for that paintjob ... so 550 still seems like alot, but it certainly is a bitchen boat! If I jumped DCB ship, and went douglas marine... thats the skater i would want ... there it is! :D

For the record, I like the Speed Racer MTI as well. The style and shape of the "M" that stands for Mach 5 fits a cat perfectly. And, the paint was not overdone.
The one in particular I refer to is the "Zuperman" boat, a 50' Skater. Million dollar boat, $29.95 paint scheme (in my opinion only, and we all know what THAT is worth!!! :smile: )
To me, if a boat has clean, smooth flowing sexy lines, it doesn't NEED some wild ass graphics that make it look like a Saturday morning cartoon. If the lines on the boat suck, then perhaps some wild paint will cover them up.
I guess I'm becoming an old fart, in that simple, classy, tasteful paint impresses me more than just something outrageous. I also think it's harder to design an eye catching yet tasteful paint job. Anyone can throw a bunch of color on something.
