At least he was able to land it, must have been a ride! Normally small aircraft are not going fast enough to take that kind of damage.
It is a different story for the big aircraft. Boeing has a facility up north where they perform bird strike testing (among other things). They call it the chicken farm because they used to grow their own chickens to fire at aircraft parts. The animal rights groups freaked and now we use thawed frozen chickens to fire at the various airplane parts.

I particularly like the blood on the top/back of the left seat! Means the pilot got goosed! LOL :D Looks like the co-pilots seat is all the way down, dont think he even made it...
