How about a totally custom done 1987 21' Chris Craft Stinger, built 350 (325hp) with only 40 hrs. Merc. drive with stern jack, WPM ext. hyd. steering, drive shower, S.S skeg gaurd, Power Flow exhaust, daul batteries, all Gaffrig gauges, foot throttle and trim, triple bolster set-up with center steering, with a 1999 Caulkins tandem-galvi trailer. This boat sounds mean and tears up the water at 70+ mph. It was done right and is turn key ready to tear up the water. Killer deal at $12,900 :D

A good size boat to look at for that kind of money would be a 22' Scarab. I used to own one and it was a good all around boat, and they would be in your price range. Here's one on the water.(not my old one) http://images.traderonline.com/EMedia/tarchive2/130/82186/00239996308.jpg

Skull thanks, Ultra is probably nice but 39 is a little over his pre approval.
Andy, It's funny you posted that scarab, he's thinking hard about picking one of those up. It seems like it would be an awsome first boat.

Mike,
Check this thread in the "Hot Boats" section. I posted pics of the 22' scarab my buddy is selling for 24k.
