I'm looking to move up to a 28' or more Eliminator, DCB, Shockwave, or comparable V-hull. I prefer a closed deck 2000, or newer, but will consider others.
The ideal situation would be someone who would take my 24/7 Ultra as partial trade. I've also got cash if necessary.
If anyone is selling please PM or send an e-mail to hurleyr@pacbell.net.

There is a 28 Daytona Open Bow with a Beck Racing 1,100 in the Nooga for sale. Says he wants $80,000+

That sounds nice except I'm really looking for a V-hull. I live close to the ocean and would like a boat that can run both offshore and be hauled to the river.
My Ultra does great on big lakes and I'm sure it would do fine in the ocean. However, it just would not be the ride quality I'm needing.
"Nooga" Thats funny. :D

If you'll consider a '99, there is a 30' SleekCraft Heritage Stepbottom mid-cuddy-open at Sleek in Havasu. They want close to $50K. It has a 500HP EFI, tabs, steering, mega-stereo. Needs a little TLC, but that is alot of boat for the money. I was looking at 28s also, but ended up with a 30.
Why closed deck? No friends?

Thanks,
I took a close look at that one.
Its clean but a bit older than I would like to get.
It will make someone a good boat. He did a great job on the restore.

I took a look. Your right its a nice boat for the money. However, it just would'nt feel right if I didn't upgrade to newer than what I aleady have.
I would go 30' or bigger for the right boat.
Kids are still small so they can fit under the bow easily. Friends can ride in their own boat (unless they bring beer :D ). Closed deck also just seams sturdier for offshore.
Am I wrong? Are you happy with yours?

I know what you mean. I could've easily bought that one with the goodies (steering, tabs, blue motor) but it was a '99 and I just couldn't let myself go beyond 2000. I ended up with a 2001, no steering, no tabs, just an H.O. But at 165 hours and a similar price, I couldn't pass.
I am still getting used to having it, I just bought it in January. I drove a few 28 Eliminator XPs and I can tell you this. Those boats are overall faster than what I ended up with. However, when the nasty chop kicks up, I will still be full throttle and an XP would throttle back.
I haul alot of people, so this boat is excellent. No water issues, turn key, tons of room. Easy to drive, easy to trailer, pretty to look at. Above all....AFFORDABLE.
Yeah, I like it just a little.
