As some of you may remember, my wife Jill (MRS CP 19) has been beating cancer since last June. She finished chemo in Dec and then went thru radiation Jan and Feb. She was scheduled for a brain scan last week so that she could have brain radiation just for precautionary reasons. She had been feeling sick and headaches last few weeks, so didn't wait for scan and went to hosp last Sat Mar 2nd. They did a quick scan and she was taken and admitted to Intensive care for neurology at Kaiser Fontana.
She had emergency surgery on Tuesday. Took about 6 hours, she had a brain tumor. They said she would be in intensive care for 4-5 days and home maybe this next week. Well, leave it to her...her Dr. said she is doing so well and the water on the brain has decreased so much that they are sending her to regular room! She see's the Dr in a bit and may be home tonight!!
It's been a tough week as I have been trying to hold down home and hosp. Her family and friends have really been there for her. I wish i had had time to post something sooner than this, but it has been a crazy week.
Needless to say any prayers for Jill would be very appreciated. Friends and family and others have had her in thier prayers and I am sure that is part of the reason she is doing so well. Thanks, Jim

Thanks to all. Jill got to come home. Since this forum and the wonderful people here have been her friends and entertainment since this started, I am sure she will be thinking about logging on soon.( Too soon!!) We went to Twins party while she was doing radiation and she was so pleased to meet you in person. That's what I mean about too soon!, can we heal for awhile? I know she thinks a lot of you all and your support is appreciated. Now if I can just keep her resting. Means a lot to me to be able to just share, this has been a long hard road, but as she says, these are just little bumps in the road to health!
Thanks again. Not sure what I put before, but to make things clear...
There was a tumor in the brain. The Neuro surgs were really very happy to announce it was a really succesful operation...got it all.The cancer in the lungs has dissapaited and is considered in remission. The next treatments will be for precaution only, so that's it....
Anyone seen the commercial for GE Medical where the doctor is doing brain surgery and at the end the other Dr.s tell him he was saying 'we have to get back to the ship'? Boy does that hit close to home! It's pretty funny.
Thanks agin to you all. Now we are again on the road to FULL recovery. Jim

There couldn't be more better news than that. I am so glad all went well and that she is home with you now. I will continue to keep you and her both in my prayers that the recover and precautions go smoothly and that this is the end of a bumpy road for all.
