I have a 95 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon that I pulled my smaller boat with before giving it to my daughter. It developed a miss so I took it to a local garage and they told me that the plugs for that motor run about $ 12 each and the plug wires are around $80. It has the LT1 motor that was used in the Impala SS and Corvettes. The one that doesn't have a distributor. I don't doubt the price of good wires but, $12 each for plugs? Anybody know if I'm getting stroked here?

I hope that was an installed price for those plugs. Those plugs at a dealer retail for about $6 - $8 each. The plugs should be good for about 100,000+ miles.

Yeah, just got em for my Vortec 7400 in the dually. It was like $46-48 for the box. GM dealer here takes pretty good care of me, though. That sounds like the normal mark-up for retail. My 1998 has 63,000 but I am a preventative maintenance kinda guy. I put new MSD wires on last year ($55, did'em myself). Your 1995 should definitely be ready for plugs and wires.

I did platinum plugs last year on my chevy van, after 103k I think they were something like $7.00 a plug, plug wire replaced A/C Delco where like $85.00 for a set, & Dist cap was like $45.00.
It had been a long time since I had done my own tune-up, I was shocked at the price of the parts.
Maybe I was thinking back to the late 70's when I was comparing prices.
And people talk about the price of Tools!
