i am needing help with my 78 mariah. my boyfriend decided to leave me and now i have what was supposed to be our project boat. this is my first boat, but have rebuilt fast cars. the motor in this boat is a 396 bored 30over and needs pulling, the hull is in great shape but i would love to have it painted one day. i would like to attempt to get it on the water this season but again I am clueless and a bit scared to do it on my own. if there is anyone out there that can give me some pointers or contacts i would greatly appreciate it. i live in fort worth, tx.

Post a pic of you and the boat. That will get the most action.

Shouldn't be too difficult to get the boat going provided you have some cash to work with. Your problem is going to be the guys that want to help you will probably be more interested in you than the boat. That will most likely mean they know nothing about boats. My advice is too hang around the boat ramps and see who's boat starts and runs every time out. The guy with the clean boat that never seems to work on it, that's the guy you want.
