No, your cable seals don't have to look like that. The ones that come with a Place Diveter are a poor seal. We always put one of our own in with a diverter when we sell one. Or we sell the seals seperately, $7.44 ea. Here's an example of how we do it.

For sealing the bowl, use a caulking gun and put a steady bead around it. Then use a quarter or nickle to scrape off the excess. Leaves a nice finished look to it.

You have everything but the billet MSD dist, That is all I will run. The silicone trick I have learned to keep the bead nice and smooth is Windex. I also recomend using the squeeze tubes not the gun type, You get a better bead then. Once you lay down the bead spray the bead and the surrounding area with a liberal amount of windex. Wipe silicone bead with your finger wiping excess from your finger regularly. The windex on the surrounding the bead will prevent the silicone from sticking there while wiping. You will end up with a clean silicons job. For the cable seals, You can get those from an electrical supply shop for around $2. If you print the pic you can show them what you are looking for but someone will come on and post what they are called exactly so you look like you know what you are talking about when you go to buy them. I never order them since I steal all the ones I need from my brothers tool box. Have fun. See you on the water.

Any&All,
I'd second going with the MSD distributor to complete the package. Personally I run the Mallory photo optic and it works fine for my needs. Then again I'm only turning 5800 rpm or so. I don't like the boxes because they can fail and leave ya stranded, but lots (most) of the guys run em and seem to like em fine. It's too bad that the marine box doesn't have a rev limiter on it though.
As for the cable packers, I bought mine from Graybar Electrical Supply here in Phoenix. Although, I'm guessing that you could find em at any electrical wholesaler.
Just drill a hole slightly smaller than the threaded end of the packer,I dabbed a small amount of silicone on the threads, but you probably wouldn't even have to do that, then screw it into the transom's glass/wood.

A&A, which bracket are you talking about? If it's the turn buckles, that bracket is custom cut. Just some .250" plate cut wide enough to clear the bowl............Doug

Call Rex or PM him on the board (Rexone), also Mike @ CP Performance or post a "reverse spam" for two turnbuckles. I'm sure someone has two of them laying around somewhere...??? Good Luck, Doug

I believe my brother has the whole set up for the ride plate that you are looking for, He will sell them for what he got them for, He is running what you have now. The turn buckles is what I have on my boat. You can adjust yours with shims but it takes a little more effort. Doug, I really like the billet plate the cable thru hulls are screwed into, That is trick. One day, I will see that boat in person. Tomorrow is my last day in modesto, Start a new job in Huntington Beach on monday. YAY!!!

A & A
BUT I DON'T HAVE THAT MUCH SPACE
There is enough room. The steering adapter in the picture will go right up aginst the bowl and still seal just fine. The hole will have to be oblonged just a little, but it will work and look clean.
