Well, I'm not Catholic, but I am finding this whole thing rather interesting. I remember during the last Papal Conclave for JPI and JPII they had problems with the smoke being the correct color. Now they have it down pat. The first billowing of black smoke came out a few minutes ago. Thank God (really) the AQMD hasn't put in an office in Italy yet...

I can't believe there's a whole bunch of people and cameras staring and locked on a smoke stack.
It must be a slowwwwww news day.
Here it comes "There's black smoke comming out of the pipe"! stop the presses! :jawdrop:

There was streaming video of the stove pipe. Along with sound so you could hear the bells if they went off, which they do every 5 min or so it seems.
Can't find the link now, but it was there in Yahoo news.

Do you think they are playing cards or anything? I mean if you are not in the running for the position...you might get with some of the other cardinals and play some cards while the other duke it out.

This morning they broadcast live while the cardinals walked to the Sistine Chappel. I had soooo many questions.
Why was one Cardinal in a black cape?
Why does Cardinal has a different lacy thingy?
What order do they sit them in?
:D
The Sistine Chappel was beautiful....
