Years ago we planned trips with friends to the river, maybe 4 times a year or we didnt go....
Now we just head out and know we will run into some cool peeps from the boards...
I feel lucky to have met all of the people on here that I have...
Some have made friends, some have met the signifigant other and who knows maybe someday a pair of us will get married from meeting on here...

I'll second that.... The boards seem like a much kinder, more gentler place tonight. :boxed:
So far everyone the wife and I have met we have total enjoyed and had a great time with. We only hope it gets better.... :D :D

I can't agree more. It's nice to know that anytime we go to the river, we will most likely run into someone we know from here, even if we haven't met in person, we will recognize the boat or a face and have someone to hang out with. I have been boating since I was 5 or 6 years old (clearing the throat-over 25 years) and have had the best boating times within the last 2 years.

Good thread!! I have met a bunch of folks from the boards and have yet to meet a mean one, i have enjoyed the outings/get togethers that i've been too, always nice to meet up with folks from the boards.
I got some flack from the wife and family because of the boards but after they met some of the folks, that all stopped. We have met folks and have them now as close dear friends. The magic and powers of the boards continues... :D :D

Ive met a few from the boards and they have all been great!!! Hope to meet more this summer. I needed a place to stay in Havasu for the Eliminator regatta. Put it on the Boards and within 20 minutes had three replies. Now Ive got a Bitchen place to stay a house instead of a hotel for a fair price. Now thats service!! Thank you SDlifesaver. Hope to meet more at the family fun day. :rollside: :rollside:

Havent got a chance to meet most of you.. THis summer will be different, starting at Desert Storm. My business and family has been busy growing so its been hard to get away. I hope when any of you see me, stop by and say hi. (Dont throw the shocker if your a dude)
Our newest one Tegan kept us away last summer, but he says RD sucks and hes ready to go to the lake.

I must agree. We've met some really cool peeps already. And we haven't even met a huge amount yet. Already have met some peeps that I can anticipate will become friends for a long time to come. Not to mention just some cool peeps to hang out with for good times in general. We dig this place. The good out weighs the bad. Even with the drama at times. :)
