Just gettin' into it. I'm building a MG Midget Vintage Racer. Should be pretty cool. It'll run VARA, HSR & VSCDA. Hopefully it'll be done and have a few races on it in time to run the June Sprints '06 at Road America.

I worked on an Indycar team for the last two years, the 1999 IRL champion and 2000 Indy 500 pole winner.
No sponsorship this year, so I'm spending time at the lake. This time last year I was in Japan for the race that will be happening this weekend.

You guys going to be at Buttonwillow in three weeks? We'll be up there meeting with Speedwell Eng. about building the engine. We're meeting with a couple other builders this weekend at Road Atlanta. Ever hear anything good/bad/otherwise about Prather Eng., Acme Racing Prods. or Rivergate?
Thanks

Didn't have a problem w/ NASA, it's alot more laid back than SCCA, not as professional.
No idea on the liability ins. thing.
It's more old schoolish, the guys running the races would rather be out there racing, you dont see that w/ scca as much

All is well. We had a Div 7 Jr dragster race this weekend. Brandon got his first win and Brenda went out first round. This race was Sat as the Sunday race was stopped due to wind. We will be at LACR for a Jr Dragster race this weekend. If anyone is out there please stop by for a cold one. And Mike heard you went to the finals at Sac.

I like drags, bracket race, trophy dash, gambler. I race my 77 fullsize lifted 4x4(crankshaft centerline 35 1/2"), 69 G.P. and my 88 katana. I do best with the 4x4 as the tires size really gives me a good reaction time with the large dia. 35's against the beams. I have taken trophies at Seattles S.I.R., Phoenix's Firebird and Speedworld, Denver's bandimere (mile hi) and now I use our local tracks at Byron and Great Lakes Raceway aka DaGrove & Union Grove. First time out at the Grove I took home the trophy. Theres nothing like putting cars on the trailer that have big money tied up in electronics when It's just me and my foot in a Big ol' lifted 4X4. Particularly when they badmouth my truck. My favorite track is Firebird. On a scary note. Once I was at Firebird with my katana and when I was getting my time slip the girl at the window asked If I had noticed the muffler in the middle of the track about the 1k foot mark. That incident made me think twice about the bike at night racing situation. I always have a good time regardless of outcome and the folks at the tracks are almost always friendly and just good peeps. I hope this year to make it to the Pontiac drags we have here @ the Route 66 raceway, I think I'm ready. R.B.

Ran a Stock Car on the San Antonio 1/2 mile, Took 4th in season points in '87. Ex-wife tried to bankrupt me to get me out of racing, had to sell everything to bail myself out, and dumped her in the process.
