Anyone else get this from the Caltrans Headquarters today

All Extra-Legal Permittees
Effective immediately Route 40 Eastbound in San Bernardino County
between Kelbaker Rd UC (p.m. 78-174) and Essex Rd OC (p.m. 99-728)
is closed to all extra-legal permit loads.
I wonder how long this is going to be in effect!!!!!!
F-n BS!!!!!!! Is it wide loads, long loads, tall load, heavy loads????

This might give some of those DCB's the chance to be out front if the Highway Patrol pushes the issue.

Before you leave check the site or I think the # is 800-427-road or sumthing like that. It's the Cal-trans #, you say the Highway and it gives you any restrictions.

I just called the office and spoke to a official Cal Trans human being.
The road is closed to extra legal weight permit loads only.

can you guys tell me what all this means? I'm assuming you can't tow anything through that area.

It is for people who require permits to tow there boats and stuff. Wide Loads, Long Loads, Over Weight Loads, Tall Loads (sounds like a ugly chick). If your dont have a permit, you need not worry!!! In fact im pretty sure none of us need to worry since it is for Weight Permit Loads only.

Hey now, I've been working out and eating healthier and have lost some weight, but I don't have to use the 40 in my less than 3 hour trek to Havi. :D :D :D
