Currently restoring a 19 Ft. jet boat. Boat was last licenced in '73 but has great lines and a cool wrap around windshield. It had emblems on it reading "Spoiler". Has anyone ever heard of this make or model and could give me some history? Looks alot like it could be a glasstron but looks too sleek and has factory port steering

on the rear serial number should be the initials of the maufacture. For instance Spectra starts with SPEC12345 etc....

Hey restofreak, go to this coast gaurd web site www.uscgboating.org/mf/mf_srchMIC.ASP (http://www.uscgboating.org/mf/mf_srchMIC.ASP) and just punch in the first 3 leters of your hull ID (on the back of the boat) and hit search, it will bring up the manufacturer and how long it operated etc. Hope this helps you a little.

Wriedt Boats (aka Crown manufacturing) built a model called the Spoiler in that year. They were a California company located in Norwalk. The boat had a simi wraparound windshield with an aluminum top rail that blended into the deck. The windshiled wrapped around the sides and than stopped leaving an opening between the upper aluminum rail and the deck. At the rear the it had a small spoiler look. The boat was fast , but had turning problems. In a hard turn it would want to roll on its side and spin out! Wriedt also built a 16' version.

Found this in Boat Trader Online. http://www.boattraderonline.com/addetail.html?12510434
Does it look at all like yours? This design was made by several companies and, I believe, in several lengths.
