Mike,
We are bailing. I can't really justify the expense anymore. Trina went back to work and we won't be able to use it enough to make it worth while. Took an offer on the Havasu house yesterday...closes June 3rd.
Did you get what you wanted for your boat? I am hoping I find a buyer that will be as thrilled to get the boat as we were.

I took less than what I advertised it for but it was preseason so the optimal price wasn't going to happen. I was stuck between a rock and a hard place to get the new boat ordered in time to use it at all this season.
Congrats on already selling the house...ignore my "renting" comment in the Sandbar thread. Two threads are hard to keep up with!
You should get what you want for the boat as another 99 sold recently that wasn't in nearly as good shape as your for $32K. I saw it and it was abused a bit. Yours, hand down, is much nicer. Good luck.

I'm glad you were able to get it sold, so you can look forward to the new Howard. Thanks for everything, I still have that Essex hat that you got me at the regatta.

Wow, that is so cool. How is she doing? Yes, Zig has been doing well, his son is working there also and expecting a baby. Grandpa Ziggy, I can't fathom that.
Lets hook up sometime for a beer at Fridays.

Hi Mtn! I too have a 99 Essex Sterling, and am glad to see that they apparently hold their value pretty well! Your boat looks very clean. I am sure it will sell quickly.
I am curious, my last name is Swaim and my father taught auto shop at Pioneer High in Whittier. What High School are you talking about?

We're talking about Carlsbad High School in N. San Diego county....our Mr Swaim was a cool teacher(this was back in late 70's and early 80's).

Thats the only teacher that tried to fail me in my lazy senior year  Got to give him credit though, he allowed me to come in after school and retake the final exam so I could wear my purple robe :D :D

Mr. Hoyle was the teacher that was always sweating.
I can still remeber walking in Mr. Swaim's class late every day hearing "Mcdonald your late" this is starting to make me feel old....
