This guy is Mr. Scarlata...I'm sure he's laughing right now. He has a pretty good sense of humor.

Wicky I would appreciate the humorous remarks to be kept to yourself thank you.
Boozer, thanks for your honest response to help me out. These guys (Wicky) are just plain bozos with no regards for other peoples feelings.
That being said, can anyone help a brother out?

YOu can make a 3 way switch work where you would usually not use one. Do you have a multimeter? Usually there are two poles at the bottom and one at the top plus the common, usually in the middle of the switch. Put the meter in continuity mode and check between one pole and a second while operating the switch. if you don't get a continuity response, try the other pole, unless there is something very special about these switches, one set of poles should work.

And my daddy just taught me to lick my fingers and stick the wires together.
If they went ZZZZZZZZ you know you were gettting somewhere!!!!

Tony try contacting Jim Anderson, I think he has alot of electrical experience working on his grease hood fans and should be able to help you out probably. I think he lives real close to you as well. Good luck.

you can't simply replace a 2pole with a 3way switch UNLESS you have the "traveler" wires installed from one switch to the other. But if your just tring to get your lights to work(non 3way effect) with what's on hand put on wire to the screw that is a differrent color than the other two and the other wire one of the two that are the same color and your good to go. hope this helps
