Bigbounce, I tried to send you a pm but it says you are unable to recieve them. We have a boat for sale that I think you will like and is below the price you are looking for. 2002 21' Howard Custom Boats Open Bow. This is a true 21' boat then you add the swim steps. The boat is in new condition with only 58 hours. Our family is growing and we need a bigger boat. Let me know if your interested. Thanks, Nick

New or used? Also, what do you want to expect to do with the boat? Where do you plan on boating? Do you need to carry a 5-6 people and gear for the whole day or ???? What kind of power do you want? West Coast performance or production boat? The answers to all of these have a direct impact on what type of boat you buy. I'm sure the cheerleaders will come out in force in this thread.

With that price range you need to "up" you're expectations...you can do alot better than a used 21-23' boat runnin 60's.

I plan on boating around needles area with 5-9 people not that much gear. I like the 496 or 496 HO. Does anybody know how much a ultra 23 or 24 costs.

Bigbouce, I will be selling my 2004 Ultra 247 shortly. It is an open bow, 496HO, Bravo 1x, etc and runs in the mid to high 70's.
A new 24' Ultra will go for around 68K with a 496.
