Theres a guy on OSO that has had a 1372hp Procharger motor in his Mach26.My motor will be able to make 1500-1600 on race gas but Im going to keep it down to under a 1000hp on pump gas/av gas.
The drive will be the question hear.Max Machine is going to put on one of the new billet drives and I will keep my old Max's for a spare.Stories im hearing is with that much power the gears actually start to peel the faces off at about 3-5 hrs...not good to hear but thats the price one has to pay to run big numbers with a Bravo1.The boat will handle it though.

So far i have the CMI tubed headers on order but I need them anyways because your headers are too tall.I have a block,heads and crank already there at his shop.i will still have to buy a different tunnel ram intake,intercooler(Lee)and have the plumbing redone on your motor because it will all have to be lowered like the lee stuff is with a shorter intake and intercooler.
I might be able to still make things work if we can agree on a price.

I've ridden in a 21 Hallet with 1400ft. lbs of torque (not sure the hp) we hit 120mph (ssm3A and breakin em)...and it was hard to fricken hold on!! Granted I was sittin backwards....but still what a rush!!! That boat was one of the reasons why I had to build Kroozin.... :lightsabe

I thought I'd be doin the Havey thing all the time...but now that the L.E. is getting on everyone's back, I think I'll be going to Mead more..I just hooked up a storage in Havey...so between the 2 for now.
I don't know about the salt yet....I originally planned on it, but you know the aluminum heads and all....I'm having seconds thoughts....out in the ocean, there is no floating, no beaching, and no swimming...(well basically)

I checked it out under v-drives and it looks great!! That's one heck of a steering column!!! Shorten it up and put a back seat in there...(just my $.02)

LMAO....Not even close.It will be turned down most of the time to about 1000-1300.Even that much is too much for a Bravo1 drive.
No speed records here.Now if Max Machines new billet drive is what they say and it will hold up for a few passes,then I might let Bob Teague make a run but I doubt that will ever happen.

I know exactly what your saying and Gary and I have talked about it more than once! More like everytime I see him the conversation comes up so he's well aware of what I want out of this motor.All god parts are going in and some new stuff is going to be tried out.I have all the time I need to get it done right,and Im in no rush....Im anxious but Im doing alot of other things to the boat as well.All new steering,gauges,wiring,fuel lines,water,exhaust,moving the seats,stereo stuff and more.Maybe done this winter!!! LOL

Let me spell it out for you... I know you dCB guys are a little light in the Brain dept. See I have a friend (I know HH) who had someone else build his turbo motor and in the long run he just ended back at Carson's to fix it correctly.
What was wrong with it in the first place?
I dont have any reason not to use Gary so far.

I had Gary rig my Mach 26 and do all of my repairs and service to that boat and my Steering on my Spectre. I wouldn't consider using anybody else for anything on my boat. He has Joe work on my boats everytime (and Joe knows his shit). Yes a owner has to deligate task to emploees and yes that may mean that he doesn't see "everything". Dave at DCB has employees and he can't see "everything" either. And both companies turn great products. But if these employers higher the right people for the job then it is the same as them doing the job or sometimes it could even be better. You never know. I know I always refer to my DCB but I had great service from both parties, and Gary is one hell of a guy. He has never let me down on a time line or service. I wouldn't hesitate to use him to rig my next Spectre or Skater, and with a pair of his turbo motors. he is out in the shop A LOT. I have only seen him at his desk once (and that was to take my hard earned money) Carson might be a great engine builder but he isn't the only one with the ability to build a reliable engine package.

I wasn't trying to imply any negative press towards GT. He and his employees do awesome work and he has a great reputation. And he's a great guy!
I was simply saying (trying to say) from my experiences with different companies (like you care :sleeping: ).....
Make sure you express to the owner exactly what you expect (I've been guilty of not doing this) so they have a chance to meet all of your needs. Don't assume they're going to do it like you expect. Have it written down....so there is no excuse later. Lastly, double check everything yourself......even though you paid them to do it! One loose bolt and your weekend is ruined. :mad:
