Throwerb is in Ca right now. We leave in two weeks. Can we jump off the bridges if we have someone parked in the water. NOT RIGHT UNDER US....I know what kinda answers I was headed for;)

Only during "special events". I be now it will be no wake zone cause of the new marina. But how big of a wake do you make at 90MPH? :hammer2: :D

Several have jumped. So to end it all and some for the thrill. More have lived than died. The Wallnut Street Bridge is pretty dam high and I wouldn't recommend it. Yes it is against the law :hammer2:

Exactly! Stacy wants to know if there is shopping right around there. I am afraid to ask why. Even more affraid to shuttle the girls down there and drop them off while we go boating......

Yes, there is a small outlet mall downtown and several art and clothing stores on the north shore. Lots of places to eat and drink. Lots of places to tour. It's a pretty good time. There is also a FREE shuttle to cart everybody around.

Last time I was over there by water a couple of coast guard boats convinced us (about 10 boats) that it would be in our best interest to leave before everybody went through a "safety check."
It was a group of fast outboards. Must be wacka haters.

Usually the Coast Guard is pretty cool  The TN Wildlife Resources are the Nazis. I am suprised they gave you a hard time.

If y'all come to Riverbend you'll see all kinds. There is lots of good one but I am amazed by the people that look in the mirror and say "yes, that's the look I'm going for" "I want my fat gut hanging out over my low risers" :2purples:

They just sent us back down river so I guess it could have been worse, but they said something about the rowing team even though I didn't see anybody. I'm figgering they just didn't like the look of 10 or 12 100+mph boats in their waters.
I like going to Nickajack. A friend of mine rents a lake house for every fall Jasper race and I can usually go freeload for a while.

If you are speaking of Neland Stadium (where the Vols play) uh... no. That is 170 miles north. Hmmmmm On the other hand....if you were coming from AlaBAMA and wanted to stop half way then you would have 1 helluva place to overnight :D

that's what I was talking about. A big river trip with a stopping place for the big boats. Game days bring out the big ones.
