The steering tube no longer reaches the linkage! Sup with that?

I would buy a stearing extender with the ball and plate mount so you can move it up and down side to side or what ever placement you want and it will also help when you put a droop or snoot ect on.

I dont really understand the problem. Will it not go up high enough? it looks like it is long enough to reach.

It won't go up high enough. In the pic I'm actually "forcing" it up to try and meet the swivel. It's almost as if the yoke is too high.

I didnt have that problem with mine. I would call Ron at American Turbine and ask him if he has a shorter steering arm. I still have the one that came with my kit but never used it because I did a droop and place diverter at the same time. I'll messure it tonight and let you know how tall it is.

Please post a couple of pictures of where the steering goes through the hull. (inside and outside). Maybe we can spot the problem

Thanks for the picture. You should be able to put a new spongy gromit in that set up, hook up the steering before you tighten the nuts killer tight, and it will give a little. When the old rubber is shot and hard ,and the nuts too tight, they will not move far.
