Flame Graphics

When we designed the graphics on our Lavey a couple of years ago, we went with flames because we thought they offered a very classic and timeless look and we love that look just as much today.
While viewing another thread a couple of weeks ago, I noticed a couple of other Lavey's in avatar's also with flames.
How many others of you are out there - not just Lavey's, with flame graphics? :cool:

Flames and Tribals are great. So is Mimi on the Drew Carey Show. How long do you think you can live with either one?

I love flames... I still think it tends to date the boat though.... I think we will know this in another 5 years or so...
Hopefully i'll be in my new ride before 5 years,I think flames will date to a point only because of the colors used during this time,
I think flames will be around forever they have been around for many years on old boats and hot rods.Just makes me wonder whats next?There are so many cool choices,One of the best parts of ordering a new boat,designing graphics.

I had all kinds of ideas when I ordered my boat. I realized that I had to think about the resale value because I know that I won't keep it forever. I remember looking at a couple of used boats with more options and gadgets for a lot less money, but.... they where butt ugly! I don't want to be the guy trying to sell an ugly boat 4-5 years down the line. Therefore, I kept it simple and classic with the flames (with a tribal touch). I even made them red (imagine that). I'm very happy with the results, and think that even 10 years away, it'll still look great.

I agree! I sold my '93 Chris Craft that I bought new in '94 to a buddy of mine. White interior with teal and pink. He's trying to sell it if anybody wants it.
Red, White, Blue, Black, and Silver never go out of style.

We've got the standard Magic tribal flames that go from the back forward. I like them even though they seem to be on every other new boat out there right now.

I just bought it. I am going with a two tone grey with blue shadowing. They're still laying out the graffics. I am being picky with the style and color so the resale will be good. I figure flames have been here since the 50's so they should stick around for a while. :idea:

I think the flames won't get dated. Even some of the other designs won't get dated.
Its the "fade" colors that get out-dated after 15 years or so. Like florescents from the late 80's. :yuk:
