No F'N way. I have a long list of repairs I've done to the lat two trucks I have owned. Not to be sexist but alot of people the majority of them being women cannot drive a larger vehicle. Although that does not apply to all women. I have seen a few ladies back their boat trailer down launch ramps better than a lot of men.

Yeah, she drives it. What the hell, it's only sheet metal (or plastic :notam: )
but at least she is more safe than in a small car. In this town full of cowboys, no sane person drives a small car....

I drive Art's truck all the time, but that's cause I know how too. I do have to say though...I prefer my car.
I give all props to Mrs. Kilr she can back the trailor in with the truck and drive it all around town with the boat on it! She is the Shiz-nit! :p

My wife is one of the few women that I ever dated that could drive. I let her drive everything I own. She is a little afraid of the boat though (or afraid she might scratch it)

I trust my better half more than just about anybody in the world when it comes to my vehicles.
She has driven my truck and cars(Some being 500+ hp cars)
She has spent time behind the wheel at the drag strip and at various auto cross events.
I have dated girls in the past that I wouldn't even let ride in my cars. :p

My wife is a good driver (for the most part) although I do get worried when she drives my car.. She has her own car and if she wants it to look f'ed up she can.. It use to cause arguements all the time when we were first married but it is only sheet metal / and plastic.... As stated above.. :hammer2:
But it is a hard pill to swallow sometimes...

Exactly, what the big deal. Mine will drive my truck just once in a while but has no problem with it.......My biggest gripe would be the crap she leaves in it. I empty all the trash, goods, kids toys etc. everytime I get out, I like an orderly interior.
Outside of that she's welcome to use it anytime.....

yes, she drives my eddie bauer expedition, that way if she curbs anything the tires just get marked, not the wheels (it has the 275-65-17). Will I let her drive my cars? hell no, I have a nice fat polished lip on one and a nice set of wheels on the other, she curbs those that calls for a beat down. :eat: :supp: :D

My wife drives the big truck. I've always had lifted trucks, tricked out cars and boats so I've taught her over the years how to handle them. In the beginning it was pretty tough ( ) but she turned out to be real good at it. Now she is the one to back us in the water on holiday weekends and drive the 4 1/2 hours home from Havi so I can sleep. It's cool when people come up to me at the ramp and say " wow your wife is better then most guys ". Best advice is just give them seat time and try to be patient. :) Just think of all the extra sleep you can get after a tough weekend

I was with you when you had to back across a busy highway to put in on the Parker strip. It was pretty impressive. Not many people can handle their rig as well as you can, man or woman.

this is a little embarrassing but yes she drives and backss the boat in the water. It is embarrassing because she makes me look I have no idea what I am doing! She can outdrive any guy, and I have had guys come up to me and ask if she could back thier truck in too, that they do not trust their wife to do it. To my credit I took her to the local parking lot with the boat and some markers and she played around all day backing up going and going around corners.

My wife loves my truck. She tries to steal it all the time. Our traffic is like LA's... its either eat or be eaten. In a big truck you get respect that you don't get in her little honda accord.

I dont think her problem is the size of the vehicle, its just a vehicle period! Damn 3 cars and more damage. I drive an F-150 and have no problem, and I don't need to back down the ramp cause we have a slip. :p I'd take her keys away if you paid for the cars. j/k Some people just cant drive.

I let the "old" lady drive the truck to and from havasu so i can sleep. No, she parks the trailer and retrieves the trailer after a long day on the water. Funny thing is it seems like all the guys stare at her while she's backing it up to see her F**k it up, she definitely gets the last laugh. Only had 1 blow up and Lots of patience to get her there.

The last time I looked out my window I still remember we only have trucks, so the short answer is yes. The only argument is who's truck belongs to who. I say it don't matter as long as mine for the moment is the cleanest! And my wife does a hell of a good job backing the boat trailer. I guess her growing up on a cattle ranch always backing horse trailers and such had something to do with it.

Umm, we both have our own trucks. Mine is the LT model 2005 fully loaded. His are work trucks. He drives my truck on weekends, etc. We own cars as well, but my primary vehicle has been a truck for about 15 years. Before it was fashionable, and trucks were cheaper than cars.
If ANYONE is bashing up a vehicle, no, they should not be driving it. My .02

Wife drives a Suburban, so she's used to larger vehicles. A few years ago I bought a new dually and the wife asks if she can drive it home from the dealer. "Why not", I say. She's a good driver. So I hop in the burb to follow her home and nearly sh!t myself at every corner, with a full potty mouth tirade the whole way. She doesn't have a clue about the fenders for the duals, and like a moron I didn't mention it to her before she left. So she nearly hits every parked car, street sign, whatever, but makes it home with no damage to the truck, just a new ulcer for me. She pulls into the driveway and gets out looking all happy until she sees me pull up. So I get out of the car and she asks why I look so sick and pale, but I can't answer 'cause I think I was speaking in tongues, and the kids pile out of the burb crying ("Mommy, daddy scared us and said words we never heard before"). So she gets pissed at me for freaking out the kids, but still doesn't know why I'm a wreck. After I change my drawers I explain to her about the duals, wider footprint, blah blah blah, and everything's cool. Since then she has driven the hell out of all my trucks, can handle the boat and truck on the ramps, and wouldn't be caught dead in anything smaller than a burb. So long story short, I guess I trust her!

I must be the bravest one (or stupidist) to let my ex-wife join me on the boat (with our kids) and also let her park my Tahoe and also trailer down to scoop up the boat at the end of the day. I guess I just wanted to launch faster than doing it all by myself. Anyways she knows how to back it in OK.

My g/f drives my ride, except at night because the tint is so darm you cant see anything but a faint glimmer of headlights throught the windows. Then again i'm lowered and its easy to drive. I'm going to teach her how to drive the boat in a couple weeks.

Never really thought of it as my truck. I usually drive it, but whenever she wants, she drives it. Never thought of having her ask to use it .....
