I have a neighbor who has a 1980ish OMC V6 stern drive. It won't shift into reverse.
There is a lower shift cable that seems to be frozen. He wants to replace the cable but the procedure is not obvious to us.
Here are the details:
Engine: mod - 3825pmrcnc, ser - j751864
Drive: mod - 933159, ser j304098
Is the cable change an easy task? Does Seloc make an OMC stern drive manual? We've never been able to find one at Walmart and they have tons of others. Perhaps there is a factory service manual still available, or a different manual of any kind?
Any ideas?

I bought my OMC factory manual from this guy in Hawaii. Nice old guy seems to have the hook up on out of date and old school marine stuff:

I would buy a factory manual for the specific year of the drive. The Selocs cover too many years and they can be confusing.
