ZOOMERS
Look great, somewhat reasonably priced copared to the Gatlins and they passed easily for me with twin 496's :D
I did the Cyclone Short Barrels, Through Transom
www.zoomersexhaust.com ask for Frank (owner)
they may turn out to be the first and possibly only approved by Merc for warranty purposes in the very near future

I got some big Eddies Marine mufflers installed at All Star Marine in Havasu. Took my 496 Mag HO down to 83db. I couldn't feel any performance difference.

Honestly can't remember, just call Frank and let him know that Blane referred you. It was sort of built into the price of my new boat, long story short.

I understand there have been clamp-on's ripped off both in the water and on the trailer. I went with transom mount zoomers installed at Extreme Custom Marine in Santa Ana. Labor and parts about a grand but they won't fall off and would be a bitch to steal. Also Mercury approved.

Mercury approved? Last I heard from my builder Mercury Marine was taking a hands-off approach and approving NOTHING. Do you have that approval in writing?

Mercury had an ad in ***boat with a boat in the background in which you could see the IMCO Gattlins on. I think there are some legal ramifications for Mercury with that ad.

BOXSCORE, i run the livorsi north star silencers i tested at the marina blew a 77, i was concerned about back pressure so i called mercury racing i talked to rick several times he told me they do not endorse any mufflers at this time he said back pressure is a major issue with mufflers i then asked him who they use when testing out there he said they use the e silencer from livorsi (north star) and have not had any problems with them to me they look fugly but they diffently work no loss of rpm at all any questions call me...derek

Nope, nothing in writing. They(Mercury) tested them at Lavey with ECM there. I trust the word of my installer. They were mainly checking back pressure, not db's.

Put Gibson Bullets, thru transom. Bolted up easy in place of stock pipes.
No rpm loss this past weekend...5000 rpm, lost 1 or 2 mph but with the heat at 115 could have been the reason for that.
Alot quieter, no db test yet, still sounds good though.

I put the thru transom Gibson Bullets, I have a Hallett 270 with a Paul Pfaff 502 ci, 562 HP, 568 ft lbs torque. Blew a 86.1 at Havasu Marina and he said close enough and put me down as passed.
