The hubby has to work tomorrow so we are a no go for the river. Might try and hit Elsinore on Sunday though.
I wore one of my OP6C shirts to work today to pretend like I am gonna be at the river. :frown:

Come to think of it, we usually don't do holiday weekends anyways. But I guess I have river fever because we have not been out yet this season except once in Feb I think. Our new boat has yet to be acquainted with the Colorado river. :eek:

Woo hooo !! I am going to be out there with my jet ski jumping wave behind boats all day long. Then I am going to be floating in my tube with a cold one getting tan. After having fun on the water, I am getting my lawn chair out with a cooler and sitting at the launch laughing my asss%^&( of as people yelling at their spouse and kids while launching their boat. :D

I am staying home as well. We went last weekend to the calm before the storm. BBQ, and some ice cold Coors Light's and no traffic sounds good to me. Everybody seems to have fun on the big weekends except the boat driver. I hope everybody plays safe and drives sober. A great weekend is when nobody gets hurt, or in trouble with law and the boat doesn't break.

Every year I sit out there and wonder why everyone jams to the River on these Holiday Weekends.
Idiots on boats and jet skis. Strong Police presence. Drunks on the water and road. Traffic. Idiots on boats and jet skis. Overcrowded conditions. Gouged hotel prices. Ramp Rage. Idiots on boats and jet skis. Fights. etc. etc. etc. Idiots on boats and jet skis. (Did I mention that one?)
I know I wouldn't be out there if I didn't have to be.
If I had a choice and the ability, I think it would be more worthwhile to work the Holiday (OT) and take a Monday off on a non-holiday weekend. Can still party on the weekend and relax and wind down on Monday.
