Great job.... You probably have enough cold air to make a cold air intake, just run some ducting through the firewall to the engine compartment... You'd take cold air intake to a new meaning....
Very cool.... (and a bit funny)

The hell with the A/C! He needs to put a refrigerator in that truck and have frosty beers available 24/7!
You ARE a redneck if...

Bet that guy shows up on Blue Collar tv next season. He's already had over 12000 hits on a board where the average is about 100!!

Thats the new version of the block of ice on the floor with the vent blowing over it. Grandpa told me stories of the old days driving across the Arizona desert before cars came with A/C.

I hope you have a big ass alternator to run the inverter/ac unit. My guess is, the batteries and alternators are going to be burning out fast....
You can get 12 AC units made for ambulances and other commercial vehicles with roof top condensers that would work much better...but...good luck....please let us know how long is lasts!!
See the attached link:
Ambulance Rooftop AC Units (http://www.odysseyauto.com/new/roofac.html)
These are much more efficiant and are made to work on 12 volt systems. 110 volt air conditioners are very in-efficiant.

Waste of time and money. The only way that thing would cool the cab of that truck is if he had it parked in a garage, covered it with insulation and had the 5000 btu a/c unit plugged into a 110 outlet.

That is a big Inverter, an additional battery and larger alternator maybe in the future :supp:
