I have replaced my Rockford RFX 9220 M head unit 3 times and now #3 has quit working. Replacement has been free but now I am tired of it breaking all the time. I like the fact that I can use 2 different wired remotes on that unit but I need one that keeps working. I want a high quality unit. Any good advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

My original was MB Quart NRA 450. Apparently this is the exact same unit as the Rockford RFX 9220 M
Problem is they don't seem to be able to take the jarring in a boat. This is a 28 Daytona so it is a fairly smooth riding boat. The units just screw up after 1 or 2 weekends

I have had good luck with the Sony decks and changers. The bass in my boat will make the cd skip in the h/u but not in the changer. The Access Technologies remotes seem to be long lasting also but the Factory Sony wired remote with the display has been known to be pretty unreliable as per Wired for Sound and a few people I have talked to, but I have one on the transom of my boat and it has worked fine for 1 1/2 years.

If you want a marine specific headunit, look at Clarion's new CMD4:
