Gibson 496 mufflers [Archive]

So I removed the turbulators and installed the mufflers yesterday. They are about 2 inches shorter than the tips I had. They look funny/whimpy. Anyone else used these yet?

I took my clamp-ons with me, but never used them. They are still in the box for when I need them :rollside:

Mine are about 5-6" longer than my stock tips. I think my transom stays a bit cleaner as a result. No loss in RPM, maybe a mile or to in speed but it was 115 degrees 2 weekends ago, so that might account for a slight loss in speed. I bought the thru transom bolt up mufflers. At least I dont have to worry at Tahoe or Naci if they are checking.
