As I posted last night, I purchased a new 2500 HD from Photoglou. I want to do some upgrades to it, but at this point don't want to lift it. Some of the things I am interested in are items like a billet grill, running boards, wheels and tires, bed cover, etc. I know there have been a lot of pictures posted of upgrades like this, but when I do a search, the image center no longer contains a lot of the pictures due to board upgrades. If people can post some pictures of some of the upgrades they have done to their trucks, as well as some details, I would appreciate it. I'm stoked, this is my first new vehicle in a long time, I've been going through some tough times, and this is just what the doctor ordered.
Thanks,
Rick

http://chevytruckworld.tenmagazines.com/gallery/madmax/122492.jpg I have an 04 2500 HD with no lift and 315/70 R17 BFGs on H2 rims, Grill inserts and bow tie but no running boards. I like the running boards from N-Fab but they are over my budget. You can get 3 inchs by turning your torsion bars but the ride is a little stiff. I changed my shocks to stock H2 shocks which made a big difference.http://chevytruckworld.tenmagazines.com/gallery/madmax/119229.jpg

Was it displayed in their showroom? It looks real similar to one I saw while I was boat shopping. Great looking boat.

Here is one of mine from a while back. The only thing changed now is the billet bowtie. Other than that 285's on 16" x 10" Welds. No lift, all done withthe torsions. Escalade door handles, clear corner lights (I know they're different now on the '05's and '06's). I added air bags with a compressor for some of the stuff I drag around.

chrome or polished??? and do they come in both!!??

Jordy

They're polished. Wouldn't take much to have them either chromed or clear coated to keep the shine going. Mine are a couple years old and get worked over at the dunes and on jobsites on a regular basis and still don't look that bad.

i like the H2 wheels. It's different, not the bling bling stuff you see now days. Hopefully a lot of people don't start copying, (even though I might) :D

I went and looked at an '05 2500 HD Diesel, 5 spd allison, 2wd, crew cab, long bed, dark grey on grey cloth, $31,400 out the door ($42,600 window)with the new pricing and 3k rebate !! I saw used '03 and '04's with similar options for a few thou$and MORE with 20+k miles on them !!! The question is, do I really want a car payment right now ??? I'm thinking yes, but I will make my decision before Monday....

Duffster,
I saw the pcitures of your truck and it looks great. Where did you get that done, how much, and who makes the lift?
That setup is exactly what I am looking for.
thanks

Adam,
You will need to ask Jay Photoglou he had it done for me. He said the total cost was around 15k for everthing under it traction bar’s, air bag’s, rim’s tires, King shocks and a ton of fabrication work to go coil over’s. The total
lift is around 7-8in with 37/17 BFG MT's. Craig

The whole package (lift, fox shocks, rims, tires, exhaust, kodiak fold down steps, and volant intake) set me back $8k

Good luck with the build up.....the CST lift is the way to go if you are lifting it...not cheap, but best normally never is..

Yeah, I especially like the the folks that leave the dmax badge....leave them all on or take them all off, but don't keep the diesel badge to let folks know what they will hear anyway. :)
