OK,
I JUST HAD A BIZZAR IDEA, CAN YOU TAKE AN OUTBOARD OR AN I/O(I'M MORE INTERESTED IN THE I/O) DO SOME FIBER GLASS CUTTING AND TURN THE SUCKER INTO A JET. AND I MEAN THIS ON EITHER A 20 FOOT OR SO O/B AND A 25-30 FOOT CAT I/O. SOMEONE TELL ME IF THIS IS DOABLE CAUSE I'M BORED AND THINK IT WOULD BE A COOL PROJECT BUT I DON'T WANT TO SPEND ALL THAT CASH TO FIND OUT IT'S NOT POSSIBLE

Yes you can do it, but it is a nasty job. One thing to consider is the placement of your back seat. When you install a jet it moves the motor forward by about 2' plus or minus. Also the transom is thicker on an IO so it takes a lot of cutting and grinding. Definitely not an easy project, but it is possible. Let me know if you need more info, I have done it once before.
